Album Notes

Laura Hall is probably best known as the improvisational pianist on television’s WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? She has also toured the country performing live with DREW CAREY AND THE IMPROV ALLSTARS. But there’s more to her music than that.

A WOMAN OF FAITH is Laura’s first contemporary christian cd. Laura’s original music is both personal and universal; thought provoking and full of emotion. The songs are an intimate expression of her faith journey as a woman, a mother, and a part of the broader community of faith.

Laura also has two albums of original children’s music, I SEE A TIGER and COME JOIN THE PARADE. And she wrote the music for the TELL ME A STORY cds, collections of timeless folktales from around the world. She also wrote the music for a series of children’s videos, THE WHEELS ON THE BUS, starring Roger Daltrey as the voice of a seven foot dragon.

Laura has also written music for films, including ANATOMY OF A BREAKUP and the award winning documentary, SWIMMING IN AUSCHWITZ. She has composed music for several original stage shows, including PATTY PATTY BANG BANG, which won an LA Weekly Award for Best New Musical, and the Jeff Award winning Second City revue, CHANNEL THIS.

Good the first time, great the second time .....

Good the first time, great the second time ..... I first heard Laura sing a couple of songs live and then learned that they came from this album. I wasn't dissapointed when I bought the album. Laura writes music and lyrics that grow on you. I've been listening to this CD for almost four years now, and not only do I thoroughly enjoy the tracks still, it seems there's always something that catches my attention in a different way..... p.s. I also have her other CD, "All In God's Good Time", and when I wanted to create a personal use back up copy with as many tracks as possible on a single CD for playing in my car, it was a challenge deciding which tracks not to include since they wouldn't all fit.... that's how good Laura's songs are.

I'm On My Second Copy Of This

I am on my second copy of this CD because I play it so much I wore it OUT! I sing along with it all the time and each time the songs speak to me in a new way. I've given away 3-4 copies as gifts, and each woman has written me back some months later saying how much Laura's music has come to mean to them. A great gift!
