Laura is a poet at heart. She has traveled lots of places and always gets inspiration from the road.
Her friends believe she is a flagrantly open book, but she says she has a very private side and "drinks in" time alone to reflect, read, make music and write.

A thoughtful responder to life and God, Laura has believed for years that good music is like a Trojan Horse, stealing into hearts behind high walls. She loves mingling various genres, with the flavors of jazz woven throughout even the blues and acoustic styles.

Her hobby is creating community spaces for students and artists in a home-away-from-home. Now grown into her third guest house. She and her husband Bill have shared years of mentoring and hospitality to people in transition as well as to seminary students and missionaries. They have built a community hospitality house called "Poet's Rest", in Englewood, Colorado.

Check out the album, Playing On Bridges, where she first wrote songs for a compilation album with Rick Williams and rock/folk band.

REVIEWS

Spiritual and diverse
author: Kathy Swezy
"Crazy Thing" is a truly unique album. Though it's Christian in theme with inspirational and truthful content, it's like nothing you'll hear on Christian radio (too bad). Check out the eclectic instrumentation on "Crazy Thing" and Laura's amazing jazz vocals on "My Defender." There's folk, jazz, ethnic and pop flavors here to be enjoyed by everyone.
