notes
Laura is a gifted singer and songwriter and has been doing music ministry in various ways for the past 15 years. From leading worship, coordinating music for masses and being a member of a contemporary Christian band, Laura has used her gifts in many different ways. In the past few years she has also been writing songs. Laura’s desire to share her faith and her music with others led her to begin recording her own CD in Mobridge, SD with the help of her wonderful friends at Depot Music Productions. Her music is original and her lyrics speak of her relationship with God and trusting Him in our daily lives.
REVIEW from REED HOFFMAN at Depot-radio.com:
“Help me to see, from Laura McCain, is the epitome of what a worship album should be. The songs on this album take you through the entire journey of the Christian life. The title track, "Help me to See," shows the struggles of anyone just beginning to seek the Lord. "Jeremiah 29:11" calls us to overcome the fear that sometimes comes upon us as we try to do God’s will, while "Lesser Things" speaks of the folly of looking for fulfillment in anything other than Christ. Finally, songs like "I know you now" and "I Give my Life to Thee" demonstrate the peace that comes when we surrender completely to Him.
Musically, the album is very relaxed...but the use of unusual instruments like recorders and African drums ensure that it remains interesting. The faster songs tend to have a country/folk flavor. So, for an album that blends songs that are both musically interesting and deeply spiritual, check out help me to see from Laura McCain.”
