Laura Overstreet's music is sometimes sassy and always soulful classic country. Her rich harmonies, catchy hooks and lines make these tunes the kind you can't forget. Her voice has a unique, smooth presence that makes you feel she's right next to you. She's been to both university and the school of hard knocks and it shows. Her Oklahoma heritage and Texas roots find their way into this music that ranges from lovely lambaste ("Never Win the Lottery") to smooth sorrow ("Lonely Aching Feeling". Troubled loves find their way into "Sleep In My Eyes (bluegrassy) and "Love It Out Instead". Oops are found in "She Gives Him Love" and "Tell Me It's Okay" and starting over inspires the crossover ballad, "There's A Place". You get salty sarcasm and sultry anticipation in three-part harmony (hormoney?) “As Is” contains something for those who enjoy country/bluegrass/Americana-Texas style. This Ft. Worth/Dallas artist is now spreading the word in the great Pacific Northwest and all points in-between. Check it out! You'll also enjoy the fine work of Dallas/Fort Worth musicians Milo Deering, Patrick McGuire, John Burleson, Warren Dewey, Ron Gunter, and Rocky Gribble.

Most impressive music from a most impressive person. "Never Win the Lottery" a real "Classic", but then each has it's own message. Great combination of words and sounds that get you up and going. Can't wait for more.
