Album Notes

Lauren Mayer is a teacher, performer, and award-winning songwriter. She teamed up with her sister, Nancy Pohlod, to start Curriculum Rocks, a company dedicated to producing children's music that is both fun and educational. Their CDs appeal to teachers for the content (which ties to grade level curriculum), to parents because the music is clean and appropriate yet inspired by 'baby boomer rock', and to kids because the music is fun and cool and upbeat, and the songs don't talk down to kids like many children's recordings. These are songs parents won't get sick of listening to in the car, and songs teachers can use in conjunction with all sorts of lesson plans. Their next album, Second Grade Rocks, will be available in late September, and eventually they'll do an album for every grade level.
