"Beatles fans will get a kick out of Lava Lamp
Explosion!   Marc Diffendal is a songwriter and vocalist
who captures the Pop/Rock tunes associated with
Liverpool, England. Marc brings to us such tunes as "Watching Them" and "He's In Love", which are straight out of the Beatles handbook.  His melodies are light, airy and catchy.
eSoundz recommends this to all Pop Music lovers."

Rollicking lead track "Drop Dead Attitude" on the new CD by Greensboro, North Carolina's Marc Diffendal makes you think a bit of Dire Straits laced with strands of country, hair metal guitar soloing and an alt edge. "Break My Guitar" and "Lucky at Love" show more Brit pop stylings. The most unique aspect of this seemingly strange stew is Marc weaves the styles together in such a comforting way. The songs are hook driven but the subtle use of a multitude of styles provides serious spice and gives the music a decided edge.
by Mark E. Waterbury - Music Morsels

"One-man band Lava Lamp Explosion is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Marc Diffendal, who -- with a little help from his friends -- has made an unassuming album blending blues-rock workouts with solid pop compositions.

Diffendal finds his strongest footing on the more melodically oriented tracks. "Watching Them" strolls around in Tom Petty-land and "Ship Without a Rudder" is a sweet, feel-good track. The album's high point comes with the catchy, up-tempo "The More I Hang Around."
