Album Notes

From the time he walks in the room you might think that singer, songwriter, rapper/producer Lavish Mikell was born in the recording studio.

Since the restless age of fourteen, Lavish Mikell's desire has been to create music and display his talents on radio, on stage & on the screen.
Due to the heavy influence of pop and rap music around him as he was growing up, Lavish soon took an interest in hip-hop music and immediately embraced the hip-hop culture.

As a talented songwriter and producer Lavish quickly developed into an artist possessing everything it takes to become a star. Lavish recently accomplished one of his goals by crafting his first album that has a cross generational appeal. In the process of crafting this project and observing the world of hip-hop, Lavish gained some very mature and course setting wisdom as to what he wanted his mark to be on the industry. Introducing: RichKiddz (The Movement).

There is a precious gem deep in the heart of Lavish Mikell that is ultimately conveyed in his music, He knows that he was fortunate to grow up as a Chicago north suburban kid in a richly creative environment, which gave way to a life where he had all he needed. Now don't let the "RichKiddz" name fool you. Lavish's upbringing was not the life of the Trumps, but what he did possess was a rich upbringing of life purpose & character to channel towards his music.

With growing up in the music industry Lavish learned early that as an artist, you could be here today and gone tomorrow. This insight put Lavish on the course to building a career out of his artistry putting him on the same level of stars such as Will Smith, Usher, & Jamie Foxx. As a result, Lavish has also been able to use his talent to write, produce and appear in Radio and T.V. commercials for various clients including McDonald's, B.P. Amoco, Nair, Burrell Communications, BBDO, DDB Needham & Foote, Cone & Belding.

Realizing the fortune of having this type of tie to the corporate advertising world as well as having his finger on the pulse of the music industry, Lavish found himself in the very unique position of having the ability to know what corporate America is looking for from the music industry in this new millennium. Thus, giving him the foundation in which he intends to launch all that he does: RichKiddz.

RichKiddz will represent a new order in hip-hop, which will heed to certain morals as well as set new trends for the hip-hop industry.

In Lavish's words, "Our music will be uplifting, positive, and suitable for all listeners as well as hard-hitting, energetic and radio worthy."
