The music of the Rick Lawndale Band is a unique hybrid of surf music, rockabilly and psychedelic rock. By way of background group founder and composer Rick Lawndale gained some renown in the 80\'s as a member of psychedelic surf unit Lawndale. Lawndale released two lps on the SST label and was also featured on the Lovedolls Superstars soundtrack with other artists such as Redd Kross and Black Flag. Lawndale toured nationally as well as in Mexico and Canada. The Surfabilly Rock CD features lead guitarist Ricky Sepulveda (Nervous Gender, The Ray Pettibone Experience){who has since been replaced by guitarist Paul Feldman) drummer Dave Rodriguez (The Surf Raiders, The Sultans of Surf ) and bassist Marcel Loera who also currently performs with surf instrumental group The Vindicators..
