In the tradition of balladeer poets like Jackson Browne, Lawrence Lynn is a singer/songwriter of timeless imagery who writes and plays unique progressive folk, pop and folk/pop with a tinge of retro, and his acoustic-driven ballads will tantalize your memory with traces of Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Neil Young.

Lawrence reaches people with his distinct voice, and his songs about daily life may comfort and disturb you, make you laugh and cry and renew or awaken your urge for spiritual freedom.

Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Lawrence now divides his time between California and Florida.

With a few years of formal training in piano, Lynn began his early musical career in the coffeehouses and auditoriums of Davis, California. He was featured in a live radio performance on KDVS Radio, a locally famous underground station broadcasting out of UC Davis and played locally in the Sacramento area where the then unpublished song 'Psycho Girls' was a favorite at live performances. He then turned to songwriting in earnest, publishing his first album, View From the Bridge which included the songs "Coming up Sunrise", "Senorita" and "Walking on the Moon". He performs in the greater Los Angeles area in such venues as The Talking Stick Coffee Lounge in Venice, CA and Borders Books Hollywood and Arnie's Cafe & Coffee House (a local venue featuring lots of hot talent). .

His first CD Untrapped was released in early 2010 which featured the song "Ain't No Hero Blues." Seriously Unserious his more recent CD features the songs "Beautiful Day" and "The Ice Cream Man" was just released.

Lawrence is currently working on his third album.
