Album Notes

Thomas Carlyle called music "the speech of angels," and Longfellow said music is "the universal language of mankind." Hymns of praise about the almighty excites me, contemporary melodies affirm who rules the universe and inspirational harmonies prick the hearts of men and women. Praise turns the soul heavenward to keep the mind on things above. Christian music brings great joy to my soul!

I was introduced to the world of music as a young member of the Ephesus Boy's choir at Harlem’s historic Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, New York City. The choir was so popular with church members it was decided to invite young boy’s community wide to join the re-named choir: the Harlem Boy's Choir, with Dr. Walter Turnbull its director. The rest is amazing history! The disciplines taught by Dr. Turnbull, and his dedicated staff provided learning in reading skills, voice development and music appreciation; influences that affect my musical arrangements today.

Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, during those formative years, I promised the Lord, I would make a difference in the world and change lives through the ministry of music. Most of the African American and Afro Latino boys are college graduates and successful citizens in the world. I am a member of the American Guild of Organists, Port Job Researcher at the Port of Oakland, Oakland, CA. and serve the Market Street SDA church as minister of music and organist for congregations at Rejoice Ministries, Salem Lutheran Home, Fellowship church, San Francisco, CA, Capital City SDA church, Sacramento, CA., and guest organist at my home church in New York City.

THIS IS MY STORY is a music testimony about life and how the Lord Jesus Christ has blessed me. My music will help you remember that He is the protector and has promised to see us through trails and our sorrows.

I grew up in the Market Street SDA Church, our family church for many years. This CD is just superb! I will most definately let my Minister of Music and the Music Committee at our church Capitol Hill in Washington, DC know of your talent. Hopefully you will be able to be a part of our annual Keyboard Concert Series that is held in May each year. May God continue to bless your ministry.

This Cd is Just Magnificent!!

This is truly an exceptional piece of work can't wait to hear more. The organ works on this Cd is presented in a different perspective, very easy listening and relaxing music after a long day. Since listening to this Cd I am finding myself interested in the pipe organ and the various tone it can produce "the voice of God". The piano piece is just out of this world and should be used in a soundtrack or something. On Christmas day I watched Oprah Winfrey show how she had funded building a school in South Africa and listen while she interview some of the girls telling there story of their struggle because of there mothers passing with HIV/AID's and in the background I could hear track one entitled "This Is My Story" playing. Who knowns maybe the artist could connect with Oprah Winfrey foundation and used that piece for promoting funds to South Africa. In one word to express my pleasure for this Cd is Awesome!!!

Just Outstanding!!

I've just completed a short Christmas/New Years vacation out there in the Oakland area. It was very enjoyable, but one of the more enjoyable moments of the trip was when I was introduced to your CD, This is My Story. I played it on my relative's sound system several times, for several days I may add, and it was just outstanding. Your selections Come By Here, Jacob's Ladder, and Blessed Assurance were my favorites. I think I will play, Come by Here, and Lead me to Calvary as my organ voluntary this Sunday for Benevolent Offering as part of the Holy Communion Service. Thanks for your inspiration. I am an Organist and the instrument that you're pictured with on the CD cover looks to be an excellent instrument. I could have used some ideas about sharing my love of the instrument with local congregations here in Louisiana. I would also love sharing the African American flair in playing the instrument as you have so wonderfully done. Unfortunately, the number of African Americans in my city who appreciate the organ is quite limited. I would love to spend time educating my people in acquiring an appreciation of such a fine classical instrument. In the meantime, please continue in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ through the excellence of your expressions in musical sound and song. God Bless!

This CD is like a breath of fresh air. It is so difficult to find classical inspirational music! The organ is an awesome instrument and to hear the artist play the old hymns, encourages one to reflect upon the creator of the universe. I have the CD and have encouraged others to make a purchase. I look forward to your next CD.
