Album Notes

Lazybones United is a band from the small town of Ljungby in southern Sweden. They formed in 1994 and released a few demos that created some stir. Their self-produced debut - "Movin´ Slow" - was recorded and mixed at Radio Kronoberg, a local radio station. The album received good reviews from Swedish magazines and daily papers and their music is frequently played on many Swedish radio stations.
"Movin´slow" has seven original songs and three strong covers: "Move it on over" by Hank Williams Sr.- "Brass Buttons" by Gram Parsons - and the Womack/Womack-song "It´s all over now" recorded by The Rolling Stones and Ry Cooder among others.
The six-piece band is now working on a follow-up.
Guitars, keyboards, mandolin, accordion, harmonica, steelguitar, dobro, bass and drums get on well together and there is a natural flow in the songs. If you like bands like Jayhawks, Flying Burrito Brothers or The Long Ryders, this is a must have!
Lazybones United are true keepers of the "No Depression" legacy. Gram Parsons and Hank Williams Sr. are among the sources of inspiration for these Scandinavian countryrockers.
