Bliss Wishes is ambitious, immensely listenable, and in constant flirtation with unexpected glory. Just when you think a song might shatter to the ground in a mess of confused intentions, he hoists it up to an innovative, victorious resolution.
Cedeño uses the album's bookends- "Dream Girl" and "Stunning" to lay bare the ironic, moody melancholy of classic-euro pop. Other than that, the twelve selections on Bliss Wishes are gladly uncategorizable. All of the songs spin in disparate spheres, but Cedeño's aesthetic undercurrent pulls them together...
