Album Notes

Scott Leader is becoming one of the most sought after performers of original Jewish rock and folk music. His music is featured at many synagogues across the US. Scott began playing Jewish music in high school as a song leader for NFTY while growing up in New Jersey. In college, at the University of Arizona, he continued by teaching music at Temple Emanu-El in Tucson with friend and music partner Billy Tiep. Scott and Billy wrote secular and Jewish songs together and played concerts across the US by themselves and with Robbi Sherwin. Scott played piano and guitar, and co-wrote 4 tracks on Robbi's first album, "Todah L'chem."
After graduating in 1998, Scott was a science teacher at the Austin Jewish Community Day School in Austin, TX. He then went on to be the Director of Camp Isaiah in Los Angeles, California, a cantorial soloist at Temple Sinai, Denver, CO, and now is traveling across the country performing concerts and leading serives.
The release of "Lift My Eyes," is the first full length project of Scott's original work. He also released a secular four song demo with Billy Tiep called, "Scribble" in 1996.
Scott has appeared in concerts with Sam Glaser, Yom Hadash, Robbi Sherwin, Mah Tovu, Noah Budin, and others.

Thank You! I read all the other reviews and frankly I have to agree. The only thing I can add is that I am an orthodox Jewish woman who has not alway been observant. Scott's Music addresses such a need in the world of orthodoxy for modern music that is still inspirational. I don't allow most secular music in my home due to poor quality and the lyrics. Finally my children can enjoy modern music with decent ideas being affirmed to thier neshemas throught the lyrics. Even though our family does not use Hashems name unless we are davening, We still love the songs. We look forward to hearing more!  Also, CD Baby is a riot and we all laughed at the shipping notification email!! You guys are great!!

A soulful and inspirational CD!

I was so impressed with this wonderful CD. The ballads are so lovingly sung and the more upbeat tunes invite the listener to sing along.  Having listened to Scott's music in Marlboro, NJ, I expected that he would be a success, but his CD is proof that he has exceeded my expectations! I can't wait to bring this CD to my grandchildren!
