Album Notes

these are ten songs from my heart. i grew up listening to hank williams, webb pierce, hank snow and all the good guys. i never thought i'd be at this point-where i have written my own songs and performed them. my heart has always been with country music and now i have a chance to let the feelings inside come out. just listen to the words and you will find a feeling that you have had or are now having. i love to read books- about almost anything and i guess i have always wanted to be an author...but i found a greater thrill---telling a complete sotry in 4 minutes or less. try it sometime - you might surprise yourself. there is only one thing more satisfying than telling the story in such a short time and that is having someone else like it so much that they want to tell it. i hope you enjoy these songs i have written so much that you will sing them yourself..

REVIEWS

Jim Leake has streaks of brilliance reminiscent of George Jones
author: Red Truck Radio
Jim Leake is an original. It is clear that he writes from his heart, and also that he has a great sense of humor. His song "Friendly Advice" is tongue-in-cheek, and will hit home with just about everyone who's been the recipient of this kind of well-meaning wisdom! "White Man" is one of those haunting songs that stays with you. . .you hear the cries of Native Americans on the wind. Anyone who loves real honest-to-goodness country music should add this one to the collection.
