Leanne is a second generation Forgotten Australian(white Australian child placed/abused in church home) After spending many years dealing with her experinces/abuses, Leanne has slowly how learn to write songs as apart of her healing process and this was the inspiration behind her first EP In Memory of Forgotten Australian's (dedicated to her mother who had been placed in St Josphes Orphanage in Bathurst from aged 3 and then reform school from age 14 her little sister Annissa who was automatically institutionalized from birth and died after several experimental operations aged 3 years, RIP little angel)

The songs Momma, Born With Label & Woman I am, are now apart of National Muesum of Australia's Exhibition Canberra "Inside- Life In Children's Homes" where Leanne was invited to perform the songs of her new CD at the launch on the 16th November 2011

Leanne's songwriting also made it through to the APRA Professional Development Awards Final 2011 in Country for songs, What Are You Saying, Bring Me Closer and Love Sake. Leanne also recivced funding through the Performers Trust Foundation and Arts Out West, Leanne appeared in the Wild Bill Davey Morning Show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at the Tudor Hotel, Peel St, Tamworth, NSW, Australia from the 14th to 23rd January 2011 and will be returning to Tamworth in 2012.
