"Offering a refreshing pop/rock sound in this day and age of rap/rock and corporate rock, Leave may just possess the one thing that many of the artists in the aforementioned genres sorely lack: integrity... if Leave doesn't make it places big, there is something sorely wrong with the music industry."

Formed in 2000, Leave has been playing clubs in Chicago and gaining attention across the country with their catchy songs and strong harmonies. Chicago radio is catching on, as evidenced by the band's airplay on 93.1 FM WXRT's Local Anesthetic, on 94.7 FM WZZN's Local Zone and on 101.1 FM WKQX's Local Music Showcase. Even High School and College radio stations have taken notice.
One of the band's outstanding attributes is the consistent output of quality songs. With Leave, it isn't a case of one or two good tunes and a batch of throwaways, or songs that emulate the flavor of the week; it's simply a great band with well-crafted, refreshing melodies. Each song is approached with the same intensity and individual attention.
There's a depth to their repertoire, assisted by a constant flow of new ideas. That's hard to find these days. With a fresh sound and a fresh approach to songwriting, Leave may be just what today's music lacks.

Top-Notch Pop-Rock That'll "Leave" You Wanting More
author: Nelson Taruc
Leave's debut CD, "Don't Go," is hands-down one of the best indie pop-rock albums to come out of the Midwest in 2003. The lead track, "Any Other Way," is one of the catchiest tunes you will ever hear, and it sets the pace for the rest of the CD. The song styles range from melancholy to upbeat, but each track supplies well-written melodies and tight, layered harmonies in abundance. The bass/drums are surprisingly deep for this style of music—lots of cool fills and rhythms—but it all blends in perfectly with the strong guitar work. There are plenty of great songs on this CD; a few that stand out (at least for me) include "Alright," "I Might As Well" and "Gold Top." With the buzz that Leave is bound to generate from this excellent CD debut, they're due to hit it big-time very, very soon.
