Album Notes

"Lectronin. . . combines the best aspects of electronic, classical, and others onto a sonic palette that carries well in any setting . . . it's a versatile, visceral collage of sounds, textures, and elements from all of today's music . . ."
- Tracy Katz, eMusician Xtra

Lectronin (Will Stewart) is a classically trained composer who divides his time between composing instrumental music and being an electro-pop songwriter and performer. When composing, he creates dark orchestral and synthetic works interwoven with rhythmic textures. When acting as singer-songwriter, he becomes the organic half of a cybernetic collaboration between man and machine, joining forces on stage with the Organism, a computer program custom designed to control sound, lighting, and video. The music they produce is an amalgamation of pounding beats and percolating synths that sound like the illegitimate brain-child of a pairing between Depeche Mode and Daft Punk. The full show combines DJ lighting, projected video, and video game controllers, bathing the audience in light and sound, and allowing them to participate in the show using Wii remotes and Rock Band controllers.

Lectronin's material has been released on HiCap Records and includes an EP, a single, and a full length album currently in production. He has performed in several venues and festivals around the Pacific Northwest, sharing the stage with other synth-based musicians such as The Pragmatic, Pink Noise, label mates Radio Way, and Joy Electric.
