THE TUNNEL SINGER (LEE ELLEN SHOEMAKER)
Dreams Without Words

Dreams Without Words is the latest ambient vocal release from The Tunnel Singer, Lee Ellen Shoemaker, a woman with a very special vocal talent. Singing in the same wordless style as on previous recordings and utilizing incredible reverberation studio technology, Shoemaker's voice will send shivers up and down your spine with her ethereal, haunting and mysterious chants and vocals drones. Influenced by both the science and study of dreams as well as their mythological connotations (the opening track is titled "Morpheus Beckons" and Morpheus was the Greek god of dreams), Shoemaker wields her voice the way an ambient musician wields his/her keyboards, weaving a sonic spell that is Siren-like in its evocative allure. Sometimes her vocals elicit the awe and wonder of outer space while at other times there is a more earthbound sense of forlorn expansiveness. You will be amazed to learn there is no multi-tracking of her voice. Dreams Without Words is a mesmerizing listening experience of the highest degree.
