Album Notes

Lee G & Delon met each other during a high school lunch period in 2002. Delon was beatboxing, Lee G wrote some rhymes and said, "Can you beatbox for me? I just wrote something." And the two have been making music together ever since.
Their sophomore album Dreams of Linda has songs that range from everything to writing a tear-stained "Letter to Love", putting it in a bottle and throwing it in the ocean, to chopping off 50 Cents all-too-large man titties, "Samurai Swordsman in Swim Trunks".
Dreams of Linda is the title track where an Indian singer saying, "Mimna" (Oh, Pain!) sounds like Linda. it is fittingly a dream-like, abstract song about the haunting pains of love.
There is so much joy, pain and madness in the album created during the two musicians junior year in high school (AAH!!) that it is sure to keep you laughing, crying and thinking for quite sometime, or at least until they release their third album in October.

UnbeLEEveable CD!
author: Tha Truth

I truly belive most rap music we are exposed to today is uninspired, unoriginal, and pathetic. It is more close to weak sounding pop music. HOWEVER, Lee G's album is the total opposite. This CD is a demonstration of how great hip hop music can sound when done by someone with immense talent and creativity. Honestly, this is one of the best albums I have ever listened to. The album makes you laugh, it makes you think, and very often it leaves you stunned at the depths of Lee G's talent and creativity. This album has somethin for everyone, unless you are into hearing contrived tales of "gangsta-dom" about drugs, money, guns, etc. Lee is too creative and too visonary to stoop to this type of conformity and negativity. My favorite track is the title track "Dreams of Linda" because the beat is incredible and the vocals match the beat's flavor and intensity. The lyrics convey a lot of emotion yet are so smooth and masterfully delivered. My 2nd favorite track is "Why Hide" which is one of the realest tracks you will ever hear. In this song Lee explains a struggle he dealt with growing up... His flow is so smooth while relaying this subject that it's hard to keep your head still. I also laughed a lot at other tracks in which Lee suceeds big time in providing comic relief for the listener. It's also quite impressive and amazing how Lee is able to change his voice and emotional presence throughout the project. This provides for an experience that is totally entertaining and that can't get boring. If you enjoy hip hop how it used to be before it got to the state that it's in in recent years - get this album! I can't stress enough how great this CD is! Other than to say Im a rap artist myself whose been doin this music for 10 years, and I can't listen to most rappers. That bein said I LOVE this album and recommend it to all audiences of all ages because it's AMAZING and unbeLEEveable!

Turning our generation's music into "actual" music
author: Zoe

Dreams of Linda is a successful first step towards gaining our generation's music the status of "actual music": real, original, creative. The lyrics have a much greater purpose other than providing background vocals for teenagers to grind to. Knowing the artists personally, I can say that Dreams of Linda is definetly worth listening to even if just once. Furthermore, their next albums will springboard from this strong, determined base and shock the world with another sophisticated and unexpected musical advancement.
