Mike Lee and the Good News is a four piece band that doesn't practice that often... in fact, when asked, lead singer Mike Lee said, "We don't really practice that often." However, they still bring it to every concert they play. What is it? ... the Spirit of the LIVING GOD!
Meet the guys:
Andy Plassman: He is the lead guitarist. He is a senior at Carroll high school who can barely pass English and history. Andy has no problem, however, melting the face off of his guit-fittle. He is very pretty with long gorgeous locks of hair. When asked about his hair he said, "I'm gonna flippin cut it off, but if i cut it real short I would just look stupid!" Yes he would! Andy once thought Jesus was a giant floating head. He recently lost his favorite scarf. He originally voted that the band be named "Guns and Moses." Shoe of choice: flip-flops... all year round.
Paul Paino: He is the drummer. As a senior at Carroll High School, he dabbles in golf. He used to play other sports, but he likes to eat, so he quit wrestling. He stopped playing basketball when he realized the coach was a jerk. He likes to wack on his drums! He has brown hair, and a baby face. In fact, often times, Mike drapes a black sheet in front of him so the people in the crowd won't be distracted from worship by his good looks. He is a deep thinker. As a junior high student he was nominated as most Christ-like at summer camp one year. Shoe of choice: odd slip on things.
Nate Ponhert: He plays bass! He gives the band that band look. Won't be seen with out the 5 dollar hat he bought at Wal-mart. As a senior in high school, he sports a beard thicker than Jesus at age 32. One time he cut it off and slightly resembled a bug. The girls at Napanee Missionary Church, however, said he was hot. He just bought a new Astro-van and although he struggles to get it to start, he has no problem playing a bass guitar. Shoe of choice: Chuck Taylors (black and white)
Michelle Carlisle: She is the woman voice. With toned arms and legs for miles, she is the ideal.. back up vocalist... She usually wears a large potato sack while singing, as to not tempt audience members. She likes oatmeal, broccoli, apples, and oranges. She is very wise; a great student... She sings like an angel. She one day dreams to open a hot dog stand. Shoe of choice: A boot (with 4 inch heels)
Mike Lee: He sings and struggles to play his instrument. Although he wrote all the songs you will hear, he is a musical retard. He is, however, a trend setter. As a teenager, he convinced his middle school buddies that Hawaiian button down shirts with spiked hair was a cool style... but when the 8th graders started giving his friends swirlies he realized that maybe he was wrong. As a sophomore in high school his dad told him he was tone deaf. Standing 6'3 and 202 lbs, he calls himself a waste of space. he failed even to win one game of badminton in his high school career. All that aside, Mike understands that he is loved by the God of the universe, and therefore, can't help but sing about the King who is Holy, and wholly ours. Shoe of choice: Doc martin boots (but he usually performs bare-footed)
Come and worship the J-man (Jesus) with Mike Lee and the Good News! Or just come and listen! We'll take whatever we can get.

good vocals and nice variety. One of the songs has an oldies feel... Pretty raw sound, doesn't add a whole lot of extra affects. I'm in love with standing still!
