Lee Mitchell is indigenous to Boise Idaho and resides there today. He lived a few years in Bozeman Montana and a couple summers in Alaska. Lee spends as much free time in the mountains or on the rivers of the northwest; this is where a lot of songs were inspired to be written. He emphasizes the lyrics and stories in his songs accompanied by some old country style guitar.
