Another Day in Paradise was composed, performed, and recorded by solo artist Lee Richards. Lee is a symphony violinist who also plays guitar, piano, and mellotron on this relaxing, instrumental cd. It is a collection of soundscapes that will remind you of a day under the palms on the sunny sands of a tropical island...with a soft breeze cooling your face and the ebb and flow of the surf quietly skimming the shore.
A sort of child prodigy, Lee Richards began playing the violin at age 3 after his mother found him mimicking a fiddle player on TV. He now plays a variety of stringed instruments, keyboards, and mellotron. Lee and his wife Enjoli live on the island of Oahu, finally returning to Hawaii after living in Alabama for many years. His debut CD combines his love of stringed instruments with his passion for the mellotron and his wistful appreciation of island life.
Another Day in Paradise includes 11 original songs and one masterful cover (Ho'olana). Lee plays all instruments on all 12 songs, except on Leaving for the Black Sand, where buddy Ken Leonard joins him on piano for a cool improv-tune.
