It's Wonderful

by Dorothy Lefkovits

Three of the songs are 50's style rhythm and blues; one is a 21st century tune, and lively; one is a very up-tempo surprise for people who like to move fast when they dance; one is a slow blues number; one is a celebration of the whole album.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A lot of Dorothy's time is spent singing in clubs, senior centers and private homes. For thirteen years she has been performing with Henry Irvin alone or with his trio.

Lately she has spent a lot of time creating this collection, one of which goes all the way back to when she was sixteen (Say You Love Me Too). This is the flowering of a dream she has had since appearing on the Amateur Night in Harlem Theater at the Apollo in New York City.

Henry Irvin - a self-taught keyboard player who coaches singers and guitar players. Henry has been a band leader since the 1960's.

Joel Ryan - is a young popular trumpet player with a small BIG BAND in the Bay Area. Lucky that he came along for this endeavor.

The arrangements of the songs are great.
The listing order of the songs puts me in the mood of: just can't wait for the next one. Great Job!

My aunt's cd is inspiring. She really sings some smooth songs.
Relative or not, Dorothy Lefkovits knows how to sing a song nice and smooth, in a soothing manner. She's something else.

The Sound of GREAT Music
Grandma, this CD... It's Wonderful! I'm glad you finally got to do it. The three of you sound brilliant together. Maybe I'll follow in your footsteps.

Yes, it is wonderful.
This irresistible singer and songwriter has aptly named her first CD. It is wonderful, especially the first track, Color Me Purple, and the title track. And here's a challenge: try not to smile when you listen to Joker Polka. Love it!

The lady can sing
This aptly named record is refreshing as a cool drink on a warm day, comforting as a good chair at a seaside cafe, smooth as the rhythms of the waves stroking the shore in my oceanic fantasy. Dorothy sings with an ease and sense of fun which invites you into her party, nourishes you with a smorgasboard of sounds, introduces you to old friends and new, and leaves you longing for more.
