Album Notes

Lenny Marcus hails from Wash, DC, studied piano from the legendary Ray Bryant, then worked for many years in New Orleans.
He played in three New Orleans' Jazz & Heritage Festivals, Barbados and Grenada Spice Jazz Festivals, studied with Alvin Batiste & Ellis Marsalis, performed and recorded with many stellar Louisiana musicians, and was the house pianist for Le Meridien Hotel across from the French Quarter. The Big Easy CD is an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, and funk, and blues shuffles.
