In Case Of Emergency Break Glass
The title cut of "Healer: With a Twist!" is a song about
the role of a "Healer", but a healer who has a strange twist. The spirit of the song is like psychological thriller, one I'm sure Alfred Hitchcock took many of his themes from. Being a fan of the genius of Hitchcock, and Edgar Allen Poe, I have incorporated themes they liked to play with in this song (and others on the Album). The Healer is a talented one, but the patient, realizes that if she totally heals from her malady she would find herself in artificially generated emergency situations... The song brings to mind the quote, "Beware of those who can raise the Dead, it's usually the only thing they can do REALLY well..."
"GrandMother Clock" is a fantasy. Instrumentation includes a mandolin and with my 12 string there are 20 strings creating an image of the gears and workings of a clock, one of my favorite objects of all time. For Edgar Allen Poe and his story , "Pit and The Pendulum", I wanted to create a song to travel back in time with , and offer an alternative bliss to his sufferer...The song gives rise to the Quote, "Now is the shortest distance between two points"
"The Game" Is a song about chemistry, (now known as psychiatry), "Their handing out labels , two at a time, their handing out labels, you can try them on for size." "What could be easier than your defeat? Is everybody swingin' to a diagnostic beat?"
Mindfreedom has this to say about the songwriter :
Singer-songwriter LeNor Barry's CD is attracting a lot of attention. LeNor has been playing a mean 12 string guitar around the folk scene in Minneapolis for some time, and the recordings on this CD are excellent. Her lyrics are often powerful; smoldering with emotion yet delivered with gentleness that that reveals a huge depth of experience that will be especially appreciated.
The title song of the CD is typical - "It's too late to tell my mother, no use to tell my brother, and when I see a therapist, I get a healer with a twist..."

Refreshingly original, great guitar work, lyrics and voice.
author: Wm T BucholtzThis CD was much to my liking. I enjoyed the guitar picking. A twelve string guitar is used, and she knows how to use it. I liked the lyrical content, and the voice behind it. Its one of those CD's that I can listen to in its entirety. In fact, it has remained in the 6-disk player for some time now.
