Leo Biollo is a Canadian solo progressive thrash metal recording artist (think old Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, King Diamond, and various others along those lines) who is desiring to bring back the old 80's thrash metal into the modern day. And we mean that there is no stitch of modernity (if that's a word!) in his songs at all. In fact, to us, it sounds like it was recorded in the 80's alongside Megadeth's Peace Sells, and Metallica's Master Of Puppets, somehow forgotten, and just rediscovered now! Metallica's Death Magnetic sure brought in a whole lot of aspects from their 80's albums, but Leo Biollo's debut "From the Depths of Hell to the Gates of Heaven," has not one stich of anything that comes remotely close to the music of "today."
