A personal note from the artist:
"As many of you know, over the years, many music critics have called me a one man band. And yes, it's true that I play all the sounds you hear on this CD, as I have many times in the past throughout my recordings. I've always looked for new ways to make electronic MIDI Guitar a more expressive instrument. As always, I've strived to take MIDI Guitar to the next level.

My newest recording, "Hyper MIDI Guitar", is my first ever where I play ALL the guitar and bass parts entirely from my Starr Labs Ztar triggering a completely customized sample library which I've assembled for this project. With admirable restraint, I can say- I did not pick up any of my guitars or basses to record this CD. And I'm very pleased and surprised with results. Enjoy!"

Les Fradkin has been on the cutting edge of Guitar Synthesis since the dawn of MIDI back in 1983. But his experience with synthesis and sampling stretches even further back to 1970 when he began a long and distinguished career as an Artist, Composer, Producer and session Guitarist and Mellotron player in New York City and London. He's a MIDI Guitar Virtuoso and now, a 21st Century music innovator on the Starr Labs Ztar. He combines two handed tapping, finger picking and Ableton Live Clip triggering into a startling and innovative new technique which has no equal.

In this CD, he takes MIDI guitar to new places. For the first time in Les' career, he uses theStarr Labs Ztar to fire off all electric guitar and electric bass sounds. Featuring songs from some of the greatest guitarists of the last 40 years- Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Jeff Beck, Steve Howe (Yes, Asia), Chris Squire (Yes), Richie Blackmore (Deep Purple), Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Fripp (King Crimson), Pete Townshend (The Who), Tom Scholz (Boston). This album also features Les' blazing reinterpretation of "Sabre Dance", first brought to the singles charts by Dave Edmunds in the British Rock band Love Sculpture.
