notes

The blues/jazz act, LESISMORE, blends together the soulful vocal stylings of Leslie Harris with the rootsy hipness of Curtis DeBray on guitar, Patrick Metzger on upright bass, and Chris ("The Wrist") Nordquist on drums.

From Dinah Washington to Van Morrison, Willie Dixon to Al Green, LESISMORE is a trend-setting, risk taking, fun and fashionable musical romp you won't want to miss!

Leslie Harris
Leslie started performing at age six, in the church choir. Her professional career began in 1978 with a long-standing house gig at The Devonshire Hotel. Leslie has performed with, among others: The Rhythm & Blues Allstars, Crusoe, The Euphorics (acapella), The Mark Hasselbach Orchestra, The CFOX Electric Lunch Orchestra and The CHRX Classic Rockers. She has opened for Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Steppenwolf, Cheap Trick, War, Spencer Davis Group, Eric Burden and the Animals and Grand Funk Railroad. As the "LES" in LESISMORE, Leslie's soulful voice and charismatic stage presence are irresistible to her ever-increasing Vancouver audience.

Curtis DeBray
Originally from the Okanagan, Curtis started playing at age eleven, studying classical guitar with Gordon Boothe. He began his professional career in 1992 as a member of the renowned blues group "This Old House" who opened for Jeff Healey, Big Sugar, Widemouth Mason, Collective Soul, The Offspring and The Downchild Blues Band. Currently, as one of the main 'voices' of LESISMORE, Curtis is winning rave reviews and developing a loyal following in the Vancouver music scene for his unique guitar style.

Patrick Metzger
Born in Pasadena, CA., Patrick moved at an early age to Nelson, B.C. He studied classical guitar under legendary Ron Mulvey, then went on to study upright bass at Selkirk College in Nelson. He has recently completed three years at Capilano College - North Vancouver in the jazz program. Patrick performed with Don Clark as a member of "The Boswell Allstar World Orchestra." He has also performed in concert with Kurt Elling, Dee Daniels, Denzel Sinclair and Renee Lee. These days his solid bass style is the backbone of LESISMORE.

Chris Nordquist
Also known as "The Wrist" to his fellow musicians and many fans, Chris began his career playing the drums in 1969 and has since recorded and performed internationally with, among others: Mary Wells, Big Joe Duskin, Pee Wee Crayton, Guitar Shorty, Lowell Fulson, Big Mama Thornton, Jay McShann, Bo Diddley, The Shirelles, Taj Mahal, Colin James, Long John Baldry, Colin Linden, Jim Byrnes, Roy Forbes, Shuggie Otis, Amos Garrett, Doc Fingers, Pine Top Perkins, John Hammond Jr. and Robert Lockwood Jr. Chris has been nominated for Canadian Blues Drummer of the Year for 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000.
