This is music to live to. It is funny, it is touching. It is music of the world around you, your relationships and your really bizarre relatives. It is acoustic that rocks and rocks you to sleep.

Album Notes

Lesli Wood was born in 1963 and grew up running barefoot through the hills of Arkansas. She has been performing, writing and singing music nearly all her life. Her first band, Oilfield Grass played festivals and bars around Colorado and Houston, but went various directions in 1995 with a serious industry reorganization. Her solo career began in Houston shortly after that, then followed her to Austin in 1997, where she released of her first album titled Child of the Water. Lesli has played several festivals in Utah, Houston, Austin, Dripping Springs and has even graced a few bars in the Caribbean and South America. When she is not "channeling" Elvis Presley, she spends time hitting rocks of the real kind as a Doctor of Geology. She lives with her partner of 16 years in Bee Cave and enjoys traveling to all parts of the world. Currently working on a yet-to-be-titled second album for release in late 2006, Lesli most enjoys playing music with her trio of excellent musicians, Robert Asocar, John Dunn and Steve Quenan.
