Oh, yes indeed. This mini-album is definitely one of the most beautiful records I have ever heard. Lesli's incredible voice and those marvelous string arrangements completely blew me away. This rawness, this intensity - drop-dead gorgeous!
One complaint though: it's waaaay too short! I need more of these amazing tunes. Now! Or "soon" might be soon enough actually. Cause I doubt that this album will ever lose its charm.

Almost Literally Could Be A Student Of Buckley's...

From the opening track of Lesli's "Summer, winter & blood" entitled "Precious Pearl", I was drawn into the music instantly. I came to this cd because of the Buckley reference and found an instant connection. At some point when I really have understood Lesli's album, I will leave a track by track review. If you loved Chris Cornell's "Euphoria Morning" and anything by Jeff Buckley, this cd will be well worth your time.

From the first few notes, the first few words spilling off his lips, Lesli's, "Summer, Winter & Blood" has that special something that transfixes and hooks his listeners instantaneously. That magical mix of simplicity, warmth, honesty, humanity and inspired emotion makes this folk, singer/songwriter album one to get excited about, especially for fans of Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice or Nick Drake. While his songs all seem to have a balance of winning your loyalty, comforting your ear and moving your gut, the many colors of his muse are vivid and equally stunning. Hooray for another option in the male folk genre.
