Les Robot

What does a person write to describe the music of Les Robot? It is a style completely on its own. There are little "flashes" here and there that remind of other artists. The lyrics, which are Beck-ish in their alien-ness, for example. Like all artists that have a unique sound, I don't find Les Robot music to be an instant favorite, but I know it will grow on me as it becomes more familiar. Such was the case when I first listened to Rush or Beck. There is no denying the talent and versatility here. I've seen and heard Les' performance in the past, and was impressed then. He has only gotten better since then, with added influences from all of the different music styles he has mastered. I'm looking forward to the next album from this guitar god!

Oldschool Licks, New Tricks. This Is Built To Last

Les Robots' CD is amazing, bringing with him the powerful tone-def singer, the laid-back trick drumming, the slow powerful basslines, and of course, his wickedly unpredictable guitar skills. this album shows that anything can be put together and made great. this album is a true masterpiece in its own category. if anybody can label it, i'd like to see the thousand word title describing Les' style and attitude.
