L.E. STOKES is much more than a song writer.  On her debut release, GOOD INTENTIONS, it is her arresting voice that captures you, and candid, poignant lyrics that hold you long after the end of each song.

L.E.’s music offers an honest look at what it is to be someone struggling to find authenticity in an imperfect world.  On Good Intentions, L.E. explores the confusion and self-doubt that fills the life of a 20-something, while celebrating the absurdity and order of life.  L.E. asks some difficult questions of her self promptly followed by lyrics gently couched in the humor that she finds in the lack of answers. ”There’s something so fabulous about changing my mind. Though your charm is convincing, this isn’t one of those times.”

After growing up in Reno and Dallas, L.E. studied Classical music at Pepperdine University in California.  She translated that classical training into a pursuit of songwriting, choosing to tell her own stories, rather than offering an expression of others’ work.

Her songs have been described as “Feel good music for the borderline lonely,” and “A compelling venture through the optimistic doubt and bold confidence that we all go through as we struggle to create greatness.”  Listen to this CD and you’ll quickly see that L.E.
