...so like we're sitting around the igloo drinking really cold beer (like it's frozen) and Bob says, "hey we should ask a bunch of Canada's coolest (actually almost frozen) indie singer-songwriters to give us songs about winter cuz its like 10 months of the year here and what the hell - why not celebrate it or something (which made Bob run out and get more beer). So like we sent some letters and made some phone calls and our people talked to their people and we did the schmooze thing and like all these artists started sending us piles of records and tapes and 8 tracks and even a few CD's (which we couldn't play because Bob spent all our money on beer so we still can't afford a CD player - maybe I'll get an MP4 player - there supposed to be better than the 3's. So like we picked 15 songs after listeneing for days and days and they were from all across Canada and all kinds of styles like pop and folk and blues and jazz and country and well like everything we like listening to - so we felt pretty proud of ourselves - so proud that we took off all our clothes and painted a red maple leaf on our butts (Bob's leaf was much bigger cuz he's got a bigger butt)and stood outside and screamed "Let It Snow!" , then we sang the anthem - even with the French verse which sounded pretty bad - and we got frost bite on parts of us that are really important (well maybe not so much for Bob cause he's a little different anyway) and now WE WANT YOU TO BUY THIS CD so we can buy more beer EH!!

It's so white it's almost green - I support it
author: S. Harper
I love CD's about my country - I know about comps and occasionally compilations. I like things to be black and white - this is the white part - in fact it's so white that it's almost green and I definitely support green, so ergo I must support white and this album. Keep up the good work - all you Indie musicians and I'm glad that you've come overseas from your country to Canada to make music.

On behalf of all Canadians I decree - Let It Snow!!!
author: Paul Martyn
This is an absolutely great compilation (and I should know about comps)
A MUST HAVE for your musical Christmas wish list and a great gift for all government officials (who are always so difficult to buy for - what do you get a minister who has - or at least writes off everything??)
All the great tunes make me think of my country in the winter (while I'm lying on a beach in Florida - hey the condo and yacht were graciously donated - so don't get the wrong idea here!!)
P.M. the P.M.
