This CD*s name was suggested by one of the wonderful songs Ralph Sanford sings..."You*re The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me". He does a great job on one of the best classic love songs of our time. Leader/banjoist Ed Bernet and bassist Ralph Lindsey add their lead voices on several songs popular with Levee Singers' audiences. Brother Dick Bernet's piano rendition of "Limehouse Blues" is always a favorrite.

The group enjoyed its' busiest and best 2-year period in over 20 years during 2008-2009. Each of their public dates at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre is sold out well in advance and many individuals, clubs, companies and other entities book them to entertain at private events. The group started in 1961 at Ed*s club, The Levee, which was just east of the Pocket, on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas.

The show is always fast-moving, upbeat and fun. It's been said many times that the group's audiences always feel better for having been there. Hope you enjoy this latest collection.
