Album Notes

This song came to me in the form of a book called "Promise Me", written by Deborah Schneider. Deborah wanted me to read her book and come up with a tune, which was a first for me; I had never written a tune before based on a book I'd read. It was actually really fun and good experience for me as a song writer. The lyrics of the song just seemed to come out naturally. I spent the next two weeks by myself recording all the instruments and vocal parts in my private studio. Then, I had my friend James Hinkley come over with his fiddle to throw down some string harmony. The final mix turned into this wonderful song, which in my humble opinion may very well be one of the finest songs to come out of my studio. But don't take my word for it.
