Eleven original songs and renditions of four timeless melodies highlight Levi’s lyrical approach to composing and arranging. Eight of the tracks feature “Solo Duets” including “Little Wing” by Jimi Hendrix. From the haunting esoteric allure of the opening track “Alhambra,” to the elegance of the closing track “Air on the 12 String,” this album is a continuous stream of well-crafted songs, each one more beautiful than the previous. The album is a progressive acoustic ensemble with a strong elemental quality, and the classic lush and sensuous lyricism of Levi’s electric guitar, and Gu Zheng. “Alhambra” is an instant classic, uplifting and ecstatic, yet soothing and relaxing.
