Tight, swinging JAZZ!
author: Chuck NaffierI heard these guys playing on KUVO in Denver, Co. the other day and decided to check out the CD. Best tracks for me included SEARCH FOR SHABDA and ODE TO JOE (Joe Henderson that is!) Highights are tight ensemble playing, subdued (dynamically) but driving rhythm section, and an almost Monk-like harmonic vocabulary at times. They sound like they've been together forever and quite at ease with one another. Melodic and always groovin', this is the best independant release I've heard in years. In my daily rotation!
These cats are better than me!!
author: Michael BreckerThis is the greatest jazz CD ive ever heard. It surpasses any others in any ways possible. I love it and i bought 16 copies. I personally love the mention of Patrick Lewis in the cover. He is by far the greatest drummer alive (surpassing any others in any ways possible)
Great jazz tunes with a fabulous rhythm section!
