Tree Leyburn believes in magic and possibility, and this thread weaves serenely through her songs. On any given day, she can be seen hugging trees in the forest, communing with nature spirits or exploring unknown realms and inner worlds. Forever attuned to a craving for adventure, she strives to constantly shed and grow like her role models, the trees.
She is a poetic music artist who loves nothing more than watching a sunset from the crest of a mountain ridge or taking a deep breath of ocean air. Tree's debut album, If I Showed You, is a mystical and reflective insight into the world around us set to her eclectic yet peaceful Folk style of music.
Tree's love of language has a dramatic influence on her songwriting which engages the imagination and her voice has such a dreamy quality that many audience members are seen listening with their eyes closed to fully receive and understand the messages. Tree's music has a sophistication and charm, a subtle charisma that nonchalantly lures you in until you find yourself pondering her lyrics and singing her melodies all day long.
Her messages are simple and direct. You are a part of the world of nature that you coexist in but have easily failed to notice or remember. This affirmation is echoed in songs such as Dancing With Moonlight, where Tree tells of her own connection to nature while visiting the ocean at night under a bright full moon. A connection in which we realize the simplest of things in the world are always around us but we could be too busy to notice without direct contact or our attention directed to them.
This idea is continued in Anything Is Possible where Tree reminds us that not only do we change throughout the day and night but so does the natural world around us. Anything is possible in the world if we just stop and look around us without distraction. We will see a whole new magical world that can greatly affect the outlook of the way we view life.
While so many artists are telling us what's wrong with us and everyone and everything around us, it is a blessing to have an artist that refocuses us. There is a whole other world we are connected to. Through our reconnection with it, we will once again find our own path.

Until I listened to Tree's CD I never liked NM.
