Mission Statement

Understanding the necessity and loyalty of the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, the mission of the Little Hometown Soldiers is to reach out and encourage kids between the ages of five through twelve years of age, to be strong, proud and courageous when their parents and loved ones are away serving the Country.

Biography

Little Hometown Soldiers was established in 2003 at the inception of the War On Terror with Iraq. This group of Tampa Bay Area kids range from ages 5 through 12. They are powerfully motivated and dedicated to bringing comfort to the children whose military parents have been deployed to the war zone. With the rest of the world, Little Hometown Soldiers realized that in some cases both mother and father were being sent far way from their children, leaving them stateside with family members of loved ones. Little Hometown Soldiers is a diverse group of children whose hearts were touched, and whose spirits were moved into action upon observing this very difficult task. Desiring to reach out to those children, LHS agreed that it would be wonderful to let the children of the military families know that there were other children who cared for their total well-being. This ministry of youth sing songs of patriotism, produce dramatic plays, send encouragement through written correspondence, assist in Final Rites Services, make three major television appearances per year, visit children's hospitals, and pray prayers of peace for children all over the world.
