Bus Stop In Paradise is a band based in Portland, Oregon and features the hammer dulcimer, steel drums or "pans", and guitar. This ensemble explores musical styles from the Caribbean and South America and also performs original instrumentals.
Band members include Lawrence Huntley playing the hammer dulcimer. Lawrence has performed throughout the west over the past twenty-two years. Chris Kern, a twenty-five year veteran of the Portland music scene, plays the steel drums. Guitarist Bret Malmquist has been performing up and down the west coast for over twenty years and is a graduate of the famed Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angles, CA.
