Album Notes

"Not just another sensitive girl with an acoustic guitar". That's how one music critic described this energetic emerging singer/songwriter known to her fans simply as Lianna. Her big heart, upbeat attitude and warm smile all shine through in her genuine songs creating a unique & personal connection with listeners.

Lianna began playing acoustic guitar in January 1994. One year later she was performing in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC area while attending law school. By August 1997 she had graduated and established a fan base throughout the Carolinas.

1998 saw the independent release of her debut CD, "Walk In My Shoes" which featured Dean Felber and Mark Bryan of Hootie and the Blowfish on the title track. The record was completely financed by her supporters and showcases Lianna's acoustic-driven, pop/rock writing in full band style drawing comparisons to Sheryl Crow and Lisa Loeb.

The next two years would find Lianna playing over 200 shows in the southeast with her band and as a solo artist opening for such national acts as Jonatha Brooke and supporting Hootie and the Blowfish, Shawn Mullins and the Indigo Girls on the side stage at Alltel Pavilion earning her a reputation as a solid entertainer whose energy is larger than life and completely contagious.

While enjoying the success of Walk In My Shoes, Lianna decided to turn her attention to the achievement of other personal goals.

In 2000 Lianna became a licensed attorney in North Carolina and tried her hand in corporate America. While she found her career exciting and enjoyed national and international travel, she could hear the music calling her back.

Inspired by stories of those faithful to their hearts, Lianna relocated to the Washington DC area in September 2002 to pursue music full time. She is establishing her own record label, "Follow Your Heart Records" and looks forward to the release of her sophomore record in 2003.
