I was inspired to write this song after the death of my beloved cat, "Cheddar". A friend suggested that I read the well known poem, Rainbow Bridge, for comfort. I was so inspired by the story, that I was subsequently led to create this special song (using my own words), to help others deal with the grief of losing a pet. The orchestration includes a beautiful blend of harp music that accompanies my vocal. I have filled the void in my life, by adopting another yellow tabby, "Callie" from our local animal shelter in Tallahassee. If you've lost a special pet, when you're ready, consider saving a life and adopting a new furry friend. Although "Cheddar" can never be replaced, "Callie" has truly warmed my heart. I believe we will see our pets again in heaven and that Cheddar will be there waiting there for me "when Jesus calls my name".....
