notes
To say music runs in the family in the case of Steve Liberace is only the beginning of a long legacy of generations of musicians and performers. While his famous cousin will fondly be remembered for his outrageous "Mr. Showmanship" performances, Steve Liberace creates a sound that is wholly his own; singer-songwriter lyrical sensitivity coupled with strong guitar riffs all rolled up into one gutsy stage performance that exudes soul.
Steve began playing music at the young age of 10. Encouraged by his family to carve his own musical destiny, he formed LUNCH BOX HEROES (LBH) with a group of young aspiring musicians in the Philadelphia area in 1996. Evolving from divergent musical backgrounds that included jazz, funk, classic and modern rock, LBH released their self-titled debut album the following year and began touring extensively across the nation. The band expanded their grassroots success by selling over 4,000 copies of their self-titled CD and signed with Orchard Records in 1999. At that time, LBH also experienced national acclaim on "The Jenny Jones Show" and two of their tunes were selected by Jagermeister to be distributed on over 100,000 compilation CDs internationally.
Despite successes with LBH, in the following years Steve began to write more of his own music with solo aspirations on his mind. By 2002, Steve laid down the tracks for his solo-debut CD, "Believe 2 Become". Steve's original material had evolved into his own unique voice with distinct hints of his influences including acoustic Stone Temple Pilots, Evan Dando, Cake and The Doors. Drawing from experience and a proven track record of success culled from working with his former band, Steve began to tour the Mid-Atlantic region (NY, NJ, DE, MD and PA) again, as well as the US Virgin Islands, this
time as a solo performer.
After selling more than 1,000 copies of his solo-debut in 2002, Artist Amplification, a national organization dedicated to helping musicians be heard by both the public and the music industry, took notice and licensed a track for a compilation CD distributing more than 10,000 copies regionally in 2003.
In 2004, Steve took the regional music world by storm with his follow-up CD entitled, "Rock Star Fantasy Land". Recorded by indie-label Melody Meadows Records, this project was focused, witty and hook-laden earning him a dedicated fan base and more regional touring.
Now with the release of 2006's "Cloud & Water", Steve continues to build fan loyalty with a clear vision and sound that brings the best of rock, funk & jazz. His musical journey is a lifetime commitment to creating pure songs with an entertaining live show.

author: PaulI took the chance and purchased this up-n'-coming artist. I'm glad I did. Fantastic diversity on this CD. I hope I can catch a live show soon.
Upbeat and hard rockin' collection of original tunes
author: MonaTrack 7, My Motion, is my personal favorite, with a cool bass line and sultry vocals! Song 8, Is It..?, is a fun bouncy tune that makes me feel like ten years old on the playground! This CD also has holiday tributes, Snow Miser and Willy Wonka's, Oompa Loompa song, that I think are a supercool take on the originals, and will definitely become tradition in my household!
