formed by steuart liebig as an exploration of miniatures forms balancing the needs of improvisors and the composer.

“Mosaic” is a 23-part set of miniatures for quartet that consists of solos, duos, trios and quartets that utilize written and improvised material.

“A Single Rosehip Bursts in Praise” is a piece written as part of a collaboration with choreographer/dancer Belinda Cheng. It also uses written and improvised material.

“Chrysanthemum” is a piece based on the sonnet form that is in 14 continuous parts.
