Album Notes

.
SEE, the story starts with me being in some bands...and waiting around FOREVER to get going...and experimenting with keyboards, samples and a mic in my bedroom in the meantime...and the bands STILL don't get their shit together........
so i pack my toothbrush and head off to New York City on a BIIIIIIIIG adventure......and I meet LOADS of amazing people doing LOADS of amazing things....... and then I meet an artist/muti-instrumentalist/producer called Roger Fife (Antony and the Johnsons, Tricky, Assassins).and he & me record some songs.... and...

(!...here they are...!)

SINGLE OF THE FORTNIGHT
“…there’s an appetite for something a little different creeping back onto the Irish music scene, something that isn’t straight ahead rock, indie or acoustic. The timing, then, of this EP from Lieselle McMahon couldn’t be better….off-kilter feel…it’s dark, enigmatic and thoroughly refreshing.” Phil Udell, HOTPRESS

“* * *…Dublin electro-rock chick….a barbed blend of Garbage, Goldfrapp and Tori Amos” Kevin Courtney, THE IRISH TIMES/THE TICKET

REVIEWS

cool sounds

a nice blend of female styles. Some electronics reminiscent of early Tricky and maybe even a bit of Portishead and Tori Amos. Lieselle will hopefully do well and let's hope there is an album soon. Produced with Roger Fife who also produced the likes of The Orphans and The Assassins...pretty cool.

Great new sound, killer single.Cant stop singing it!!

Who the hell is responsible for caging this talent? I have to say its more than just the obviously popular 'daddy's boy' that makes this a superb cd, track number 3 'spy on me' is the type of song you fall into, and I would have liked to see it released as a separate single, but the fact Lieselle has used a song of its calibre as a 'B' side, just goes to show the vast reservoir of talent this girl still has simmering. Loved the single, cant wait for the next!

Rising Star

This is another great single from Lieselle. She mixes this up in a way that makes her music fresh and now. Not easy to pigeon hole her style this single gets into your head and stays there. Top class stuff from a soon to be very famous Dublin artist. Go and buy it now and get in at the start of this starlet's fame.
