notes
"Buyer beware! This is addictive stuff!"
- Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck
Life in the Balance was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Nicoletti in late 1999. He recruited bassist Matt Mueller and drummer Dan Roveto to form the band in 2000. The three New Jersey musicians' diverse tastes and influences can easily be heard in their music: acoustic guitar with pop-like hooks, percussion-flavored drumming and driving, melodic bass lines are the backdrop for Chris' observations on life, relationships and being. LITB's music can alternate between sober reflection and upbeat rock, but always contains memorable melodies fortified with a strong, danceable backbeat.

It's hard to imagine a cross between Creed and DMB
author: Score! Music MagazineIt's hard to imagine a sound that's a cross between Creed and Dave Matthews Band, but Life in the Balance makes it possible. Check out "Scream" and "Underground" -- you'll wonder if it's really DMB. Scream is a great start for Life in the Balance and I look forward to their follow-up CD.
Totally Sweet
author: Jamie HareI'm a little upset that I just heard of these guys the other day. I have been missing out bigtime! Thanks for the good music!
Cool music, very good singer and good songs.
author: Brian RiddleIt is apparent from the second the music starts that everything is TIGHT. The bass playing is very good, and the drums are right there. Acoustic guitar is a nice production touch. Listen to Underground: it is like the best of Live meets the best of Dave Matthews. This is a band that puts the work in all around and it shows in good lyrics, good rhythm section, tastefully minimalistic guitar and constant hooks.
