"Likota," is a Croatian term for one coming from the province of Lika. Front man, Gregory Vitale, is a son of a Likota woman.

Likota Son delivers song driven, rock-pop based music with heartfelt lyrics. With his music running on an undercurrent of independent thinking, a strong sense of self supports the lyrics.

The song Try is about taking an honest look at oneself and growing from it. "Try to be a better man even when the odds aren't on my side." Gregory emphasizes, "Life is about overcoming struggles and this song carries that story".
