I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1975.
I started with the electric bass at 12 years old as many bassists start: like football players asking for someone to be the goalkeeper...(and nobody wants) ja!, ja! I used to play and study jazz rock, jazz and pop until I entered to the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda (an unique School of Tango and Argentinean Folk music) and I re-descovered the Tango which I was hearing at home from childhood and I knew it was the music that really could help me to express myself. There I also discovered the double bass and I falled in love inmediatly and for ever. So, I studied double bass classical technique, harmony and composition with different teachers and I started to flirt with the Symphonic Orchestras world. But again I was powerfully reached by Tango and I was involved in a “revival” of traditional and instrumental tango worldwide, that started with groups like Tangata Rea, my “garage” band as well as a prolific professional experience touring Europe and USA and recording for Winter & Winter. Then, my professional life was by fortune involved with the very best of the tango artists as Walter Ríos, great singer Susana Rinaldi, Juan Carlos Cuacci, Juan Esteban Cuacci, Pablo Agri, Guillermo Fernandez, amoung others.
Since 2000 I live in Europe, first in Stockholm and then in Spain where I worked with many music, scena and dancer artists as well as chamber and Symphonic Orchestras .I also have composed, arranged and produced music for documentary films, theater and dance.
But my inner search continued, when I felt the need to go further away, and to commit myself with the present tango, my own musical ideas and the evolution that had lately my instrument, the double bass. Then I started to compose for a more exposed, creative, active double bass, with the idea of giving to the double bassists more music with which to express themselves and to find I my way of doing it. Gary Karr and Irena Olkiewicz have included some of my compositions in their concerts.
This is my first solo CD: "Preludio del Primer dia" (“Prelude to the First Day”), the result of these years process. The one in the cover it´s me (and my son inside) because the creative work was all made during my last pregnancy (since searching ideas, composing, arranging, practicing, rehersing, recording, mixing, making photo production and designing art cover). So, I feel it as a result of a fertility period, in a feminine creative mood, with its darkness and its light, “powerfully feminine, and femininely powerfull”
