Reviews of Lil’ Ian Goodsman, UK born, but New Zealand based, blues and roots musician. Lil’ Ian has two CD’s currently on general release – ‘Out Of The Blue’ and ‘Gambling Man’. ‘Out Of The Blue’ was originally released in 2002 but has since been remastered in the US and re-released in 2008 along with ‘Gambling Man’, also mastered in the US. These two CD’s are mostly acoustic blues and feature Lil’ Ian with guitars – just as you would expect to see him live. His ‘Americana’ CD will be available in early 2009 and will be a point of departure for Lil’ Ian featuring numbers from the likes of Doc Watson, Bob Wills and Merle Travis.

Lil’ Ian continues to offer his interpretation of classic acoustic roots music to audiences in Australasia and Europe and to radio audiences much wider than those two continents.
