Album Notes

Linda Book's SOMEDAY I'M GONNA HAVE A HORSE is a collection of original, unforgettable and magical songs and song-stories. It's a funny, sweet, unpredicable, and at times, irreverent celebration of what it is or was like to be a child.

Enjoy the musical saw on "Someday I'm Gonna Have a Horse" and "The Thing with the Snow Inside."

Other favorites include the barber shop sea chanty, "Lather Me Up;" the popular Earth Day tune, "The Garbage Tree;" and the jazzy, bluesy "Circle of Peas."

Plus, there are birthday and Halloween songs, and the usual additions to Linda's large collection of superb music about animals.

Joining Linda on SOMEDAY I'M GONNA HAVE A HORSE is her long-time, always terrific backup band, The Dog-Eared Pages. Band members are Robert Armstrong on accordion, banjo, guitar, and musical saw; Jan Peters on mandola, mandolin, piano, and background vocals ; Jeff Simons on electric bass and fretless electric bass; and Steve Book on drums and percussion.

I have listened to this album my entire life. We wore out this album on cassette and was so excited to find it came out on CD. I think we have everysong memorized and we all sing along. We just wish she would have No More Animals and Up Side Down albums made into CDs now too.
